We collect, process and use personally identifiable information in accordance with the principles of this Privacy Policy and in observance of the data protection laws and regulations of Germany and the European Union.
The controller of personal data is LEFAS Fashion GmbH, Heckmannufer 3, 10997 Berlin, Germany, which can be contacted at legal@wayks.com.
Your information reaches us in many different ways, e.g. by visiting our website, communicating with us in person, on the phone, by email, by mail, on social media platforms, or through direct messaging and chatting apps.
Information we collect can be personal information, such as name, email address, address, other contact details, payment information, responses to surveys, competitions and promotions, contact and purchase history, and technical information, e.g. about the devices, IP address and browsers you are using to visit our website, as well as how you use our website.
Your information is used by us to facilitate our products and services to you, to help us improve them and advertise them to you and others, to communicate with you, to help us run our business in a professional manner, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
If you have agreed to it, we send marketing messages (e.g. our newsletter) to you by email. You can stop receiving such messages any time by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link in any of such emails or by contacting us at hello@wayks.com.
We do not sell any of your personal data. To be able to provide our services to you and to run our business, we share data with third parties from the following categories:
- Third parties, which are involved in processing purchases, e.g. web shop systems, payment service providers, manufacturers, warehouses, order packers, logistics companies, etc.
- Third parties, which provide professional services to us, e.g. advertising partners, marketing agencies, business consultants, web hosting providers, etc.
- Law enforcement and other government authorities, e.g. tax offices and customs
Like many companies, we also engage in online advertising, to inform you and others about our products. In this context we work with a range of digital marketing networks and use a variety of commonly used advertising technologies like cookies, pixels, etc., which allows us to improve the relevance of our advertising for our existing and new visitors and customers. We also use certain services of social media networks that require us to share hashed portions of your data to advertise more effectively to you or like-minded consumers. To facilitate this, we may transmit hashed, aggregated sets of email addresses to Facebook and Pinterest, which then create “Custom Audiences”, “Lookalike Audiences”, or "Actalike Audiences" for us to display ads to. If you do not wish us to use certain hashed portions of your data for this, please let us know by email to hello@wayks.com and we will start excluding your data from those audiences.
Cookies help us to analyse how visitors use our site, improve the usability of the site for you, and help us to deliver relevant and effective ads. By using our site, you agree that we may place these types of cookies on your device and for us to access them when you return. If you do not wish this, you can delete those cookies and change your browser settings accordingly. Please note that this may affect your user experience on our site, and potentially other sites as well depending on the changes you perform in your browser settings.
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar’ section of Hotjar’s support site.
We store the personal data we collect within the European Economic Area (EEA) but it can be transferred and processed in a country outside the EEA by us or third parties which may have facilities outside the EEA. We only work with trusted services that can ensure the safety of your personal data.
How long we store your data depends on legal or regulatory requirements (e.g. tax authorities require certain transactional data to be stored for 10 years), or if it may be necessary to resolve disputes, prevent abuse or fraud, or enforce our terms and conditions. We also hold on to parts of your data, which we deem helpful to keep developing our business – unless you request us to delete such information.
About information we hold about you, you have the right to be informed how we use it (like we do through this policy), to have incorrect information corrected, to have it made transparent to you on request, in some circumstances to request us to delete, or stop collecting or processing it, and to complain to your data protection regulator.
As we develop as a young business, we may change this policy from time to time. Whenever we make significant changes, we will make it transparent on our website or by other means of contact, e.g. email.
